It's tragic. My army cousin was murdered by the IRA in Belfast and army deaths always touch me.
Tom.
That's so sad. x
That soldier playing 'Taps' did it perfectly. Not a fluke in it. What breath control too. He must truly love his brothers, his fellow soldiers, and feels deeply to play so beautifully for them.
I cried copiously during this scene. I so wish 'they' would bring all our boys home. We don't need to be in that place! Nobody wins in Afghanistan - all the way back to the days of Alexander the Great. No-one ever wins in Afghanistan. Bring our boys home! Please...
My lad has left the army for a year and is expecting to go back (long story). I am sort of relieved. I never wanted to stop him but at the same time I don't want to be on the recieving end of that sort of news. I doubt he will go back unless he can't find work.

I have immense respect for the guys out there. Considerably less respect for the politicians who sent them on this fools errand.
